As the Technologist, you will be broadly responsible across the production units for safety, process optimization, automation implementation, and specific technology needs.The site is located just north of Mobile, AL and near all the amenities of the gulf coast. The McIntosh site is strategically significant for the Plastics and Coatings Businesses in North America. The site employs approximately 600 people including contractors to produce antioxidants and light stabilizers going into markets such as automotive, coatings, plastics, and food packaging.Qualifications – BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalentAs a Technologist you create chemistry by…Own the process safety information and implementation of global safety concepts for the processes in the area, to provide a safe operating platform. Manage and participate in process hazards analyses for the production areas to ensure operational safety. Be responsible for automation strategies, so that operators can make safe and efficient decisions. Drive changes in chemical processes and equipment using the Management of Change process to improve product quality, raw material yields, and production rates. Provide the necessary review and oversight during implementation of capital and maintenance projects, so that installations perform as designed. Use statistical analysis to help the team make sound, data based decisionsYour formula for success…B.S.
